The following is provided for informational purposes only.
Starting this Friday, April 3rd, small businesses and sole proprietorships can apply for and receive loans to cover their payroll and other expenses through existing SBA lenders. Starting April 10th, independent contractors and self-employed individuals can apply.
Other regulated lenders will be available to make these loans as soon as they are approved and enrolled in the program.
There are key differences between the two programs (including forgiveness), and small business owners (less than 500 employees) can only take advantage of one of them at a time.
